    Testimonials

From Monique: Joining Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen almost a year ago has given me the opportunity to progress with gluten free cooking and baking for my husband who has Celiac disease. It provides me with information, tools, and support from a friendly community where members can share, ask questions, and get suggestions when a recipe doesn’t work out. I keep motivated to improve and to try new recipes with the monthly challenges; but best of all, I don’t feel so alone in my kitchen.

From Janet: I've been a member of Cinde Little's "Adventures in a G-F Kitchen" since she started the group. I had taken a number of g-f cooking classes from her before and really enjoyed them, so was quite interested in the group she started. It has more than lived up to expectations. Cinde does a great job keeping our monthly zoom meetings on topic and interesting. She also finds regular questions that engage the group members on various issues in g-f cooking. She has also attracted a great group of people with differing experiences and views on g-f cooking, which makes the group very interesting.

From Maureen: Cinde provides a safe platform to share personal gluten free lifestyle experiences, particularly related to food and baking/cooking.  She is awesome in providing links between members in order to share recipes and experiences. I applaud Cinde in creating this unique niche in the food blogging industry.

Jump in, we can't wait to meet you.

    Why this membership?

    • Why are some people cooking food the whole family wants to eat...while others are making two meals every night, paying a fortune for groceries, feeling defeated and exhausted?
    • Why can some people bake flaky GF pastries, perfect pizza crusts and gluten free breads…while others are overwhelmed and frustrated reading labels and finding the right ingredients?

In this membership we're not talking about restaurants or the newest processed gluten free snacks. We're learning all the tips and tricks gluten free cooks already know, comparing notes and sharing what we learn. You'll try new ingredients and techniques, that you can take back into the kitchen to try again. No matter where you are in your journey, there's always more to learn about food.

    • Why do some cooks easily get everyone on board and seem to cook GF with ease…while others are constantly challenged figuring out what foods are safe, reorganizing their kitchen, and always wondering what to cook?
    • Maybe you already know your way around the kitchen or have always thought of yourself as a foodie, but some foods still feel off limits. You want to try potstickers, mochi donuts, artisan breads, croissants and more (my list); but you want to compare notes with people who get it and tweak recipes to perfection. Then share your successes with like minded people who know what it means.

    Your RECIPE to SUCCESS

What's possible? I've seen people go from hesitant to tears of joy in a single cooking class and everyday cooks are now doing that in this membership. We help you sort through the overwhelming amount of information and decide where to focus first. With a few small changes and a little effort, you'll become more confident in the kitchen. That's when you can get excited about what's possible. I've created steps for you to see your progress then take on new challenges and have fun in the process.

And now, I'd like to share Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen with you.

With cooking classes I can only serve a small number of people and we only make a few recipes. On the blog I get emails from people excited about what they learned but no one else learns from the experience or shares in the success. That's why I started Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen. This is for you if you're...

    • new to gluten free and want help getting started...
    • bored with the foods you make and need some inspiration...
    • ready to take your cooking to the next level, and take on challenges with like minded cooks who actually get it.

    Cinde

    Cinde's Story

    Hi there! I'm Cinde

Since 2014 I've been teaching gluten free cooking classes, both virtual and in-person.

As a foodie, cooking instructor, health educator and volunteer with Celiac Calgary, I know the ongoing challenges of learning to cook gluten free. Not everyone gets it but someone needs to eat safe gluten free food 24/7.

Cinde wearing her EGFG apron, standing outside her front door with a kitchen gadget wreath that includes a sign saying 'Welcome to my kitchen.'

When my friend was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2009 I told her I'd make something for her that was gluten free. It didn't take long to figure out this wasn't an allergy to a single food, the word 'gluten' wasn't written on any package, and cross contact was a real thing. Back then there weren't many cookbooks or GF food blogs, and all flour blends were homemade. I would spend a week buying six new ingredients and make something that was absolutely awful. It was a slog!

It was slow learning, especially because I don't need to eat gluten free, but as a foodie and a friend I kept going. I volunteered with Celiac Calgary and kept hearing stories of how people were struggling. After five years I learned a lot, especially how hard the transition was, especially the baking. That's why I wanted to share my success by teaching cooking classes, something I had done in the past. My husband built me the blog and Everyday Gluten Free Gourmet was born.

Since 2014 I've been helping home cooks set up their kitchens. That means learning the basics of gluten free cooking, often with other dietary restrictions, plus learning to make food they love and everyone wants to eat.

A platter with Vietnamese Salad Rolls garnished with a pansy.
A Gluten Free Angel Food Cake filled with whipped cream and fresh berries, garnished with yellow and purple pansies sitting on a glass pedestal tray.

I've also seen the explosion of highly processed gluten free food. While everyone needs some convenience food, as a health educator I know this is not the solution for gut health. I eat healthy (30 plants a week is my goal) and I also make cookies and cake, but I cook with real food. No one wants to cook everyday but there are lots of ways to learn to be efficient and enjoy all the steps in the process. Because even if we're not cooking tomorrow we'll be cooking the next day for sure.

Now, in this membership, I'm bringing more people together so we can learn, share and grow on this non-stop adventure of cooking gluten free.
