    • Why are some people cooking food the whole family wants to eat...while others are making two meals every night, paying a fortune for groceries, feeling defeated and exhausted?
    • Why can some people bake flaky GF pastries, perfect pizza crusts and gluten free breads…while others are overwhelmed and frustrated reading labels and finding ingredients?

In this membership we're not talking about restaurants or the newest processed gluten free snacks. We're learning all the tips and tricks gluten free cooks already know, comparing notes and sharing what we learn. You'll try new ingredients and techniques to take back into the kitchen and try again. No matter where you are in your journey, there's always more to learn about food.

    • Why do some cooks easily get everyone on board and seem to cook GF with ease…while others are constantly challenged figuring out what foods are safe, reorganizing their kitchen, and always wondering what to cook?
    • Maybe you already know your way around the kitchen—but some foods still feel off limits. You want to try potstickers, mochi donuts, artisan breads, croissants and more (my list); but you want to compare notes with people who get it and tweak recipes to perfection.

Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen is here to help you on your journey. Let the adventure begin.

    Hi there! I'm Cinde

Since 2014 I've been teaching gluten free cooking classes, both virtual and in-person.

As a foodie, cooking instructor, health educator and volunteer with Calgary Celiac, I know the ongoing challenges of learning to cook gluten free. Not everyone gets it but you need to eat safe gluten free food 24/7.

When my friend was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2009 I told her I'd make something for her that was gluten free. It didn't take long to figure out this wasn't an allergy to a single food, the word 'gluten' wasn't written on any package, and cross contact was a real thing. Back then there weren't many cookbooks or GF food blogs, and all flour blends were homemade. I would spend a week buying six new ingredients and make something that was absolutely awful. It was a slog!

It was slow learning, especially because I don't need to eat gluten free, but as a foodie and a friend I kept going. I volunteered with Calgary Celiac and kept hearing stories of how people were struggling. After five years I learned a lot, especially that the baking was hard but everyday meals was easier. That's when I wanted to start sharing and teaching cooking classes, something I had done in the past. My husband built me the blog and Everyday Gluten Free Gourmet was born.

Since 2014 I've been helping home cooks set up their kitchens. That means learning the basics of gluten free cooking, often with other dietary restrictions, plus learning to make food they love and everyone wants to eat.

A Gluten Free Angel Food Cake filled with whipped cream and fresh berries, garnished with yellow and purple pansies sitting on a glass pedestal tray.

I've also seen the explosion of processed gluten free food. While everyone needs some convenience food as a health educator I know this is not the solution for gut health. I eat healthy (30 plants a week is my goal) and I also make cookies and cake, but I cook with real food. No one wants to cook 24/7 but there are lots of ways to learn to be efficient and enjoy all the steps in the process. Because if we're not cooking tomorrow we'll be cooking the next day for sure.

Now, in this membership, I'm bringing more people together so we can learn, share and grow on this non-stop adventure of cooking gluten free.

    RECIPE to SUCCESS

What's possible? I've seen people go from tears to joy in a single cooking class. I've helped people sort through the overwhelming amount of information and decide where to focus first. With a few small changes and a little effort, they become more confident in the kitchen. That's when they're excited about what's possible. I've created stages for this journey so you can see where you're at, tackle the problems and actually have fun cooking food you never thought would be possible.

And now, I'd like to share Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen with you.

The challenge with cooking classes is that I can only serve a small number of people and we can only make one or two recipes. It's the same on the blog. I get emails from people excited about what they learned but no one else hears about it or learns from it. I know more people can benefit from what I teach so that's why I'm starting Adventures in a Gluten Free Kitchen. If you join us, I'd love to help you, too.
